Alexandra Bistline

Overview

Although Alexandra Bistline has only been practicing law since 2014, she has represented numerous high-profile clients at every stage of the litigation process, including on appeal. For example, she recently co-chaired and won a jury trial regarding trademark use, after the US Supreme Court sent the case back (B&B Hardware Inc v. Hargis Industries Inc). The US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit subsequently affirmed the decision. Bistline’s other notable clients include ExxonMobil, the world’s largest publicly traded international oil and gas company, and Ecolab, a global provider of water, hygiene, and energy technologies. She has particular expertise in advising clients from sectors such as fashion, jewellery, energy, oil and gas, and universities on developing enforcement strategies, policing infringements, and trademark-related contracts. Bistline is a keen advocate of broadening diversity in the law. She is involved in several committees aimed at growing Pirkey Barber; as part of the firm’s training committee, she aims to ensure that all clerks and associates at the firm are properly trained and mentored throughout their careers.
