
Samsung labels Dua Lipa’s $15m TM claim over TV boxes ‘legally defective’
South Korean tech company Samsung has launched a multi-pronged bid to dismiss Dua Lipa’s $15 million trademark and publicity rights lawsuit over TV packaging, raising issues of cross-border image rights and false endorsement claims. The company said its use of the singer’s image “does not plausibly suggest” consumers would think she was promoting the product.
