Brian Michaelis is chair of Seyfarth’s global Intellectual Property practice and brings over 30 years of experience helping clients protect and grow their most valuable intellectual property assets. Drawing on his background in engineering and R&D, he tailors patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and contract strategies to meet each client’s unique objectives. Brian works with companies ranging from startups to global innovators across a wide range of industries. He leads teams in securing and enforcing IP rights, leveraging technology and process design, including custom software tools, to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and align legal strategies with clients’ business goals.
