Overview
Gunars Gaikis has more than 25 years’ experience in life sciences intellectual property litigation. He has particularly focused on patent, regulatory and trademark-related litigation for innovative companies in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology areas. He has appeared as lead counsel in many IP cases before the Ontario, Federal and Supreme courts. He is a fellow of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, a member of PTMG, and an editorial board member of WIPR Leaders’ sister publication Life Sciences IP Review. He is a frequent speaker at industry events around the world and has had numerous publications on matters related to his practice.
