Thomas Gibb

Thomas Gibb is a UK and European patent attorney based in Murgitroyd’s Southampton office, where he also serves as Chief Compliance Officer and chairs the firm’s Practice Board. He works closely with clients of all sizes, providing practical advice on patent and design protection, and has particular expertise in managing and prosecuting large, complex patent portfolios. Thomas regularly supports clients in contentious matters, including proceedings before the European Patent Office. With a PhD in Chemistry from Imperial College London and a strong academic background in materials science from Cambridge, Thomas combines deep technical expertise with commercially focused IP advice.
