David has over twenty years’ experience in intellectual property law, and manages Appleyard Lees’ largest client account.

David completed a master’s degree in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford, the breadth of that qualification being well suited to work in analogue and digital electronics, covering sectors such as video and audio coding, digital electronics, optical storage media, and content delivery and networking. 

In addition to patent drafting and prosecution work on the electronics side, David has been involved in numerous disputes over infringement of rights in patents and designs.
