Deborah Hampton is the 2026 President of the International Trademark Association (INTA), where she serves as chair of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
In this global leadership role, she helps guide one of the world’s most influential intellectual property organisations and contributes to shaping international dialogue on trademarks, brand protection and the evolving role of IP in commerce.
Alongside her INTA presidency, Hampton is global brand enforcement & trademark team leader at The Chemours Company, where she manages the organisation’s global brand portfolio. She is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to protect and enforce trademarks worldwide, with a strong focus on combating infringement and counterfeiting, while ensuring brand integrity aligns with wider corporate goals and objectives.
Her contribution to IP policy and governance includes serving two terms on the Trademark Public Advisory Committee of the US Patent and Trademark Office, where she supported the development and oversight of US trademark systems and policy.
She also contributes to professional development and inclusion initiatives within INTA, including the Women’s LeadershIP Initiative Project Team, supporting the advancement of women in IP globally.
Hampton contributes to a range of civic and alumni organisations. She serves on the Executive Board of the Wilmington (Delaware) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, where she is parliamentarian, and is a member of the University of Cincinnati College of Arts & Sciences Alumni Advisory Board.
Hampton holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Cincinnati and an ABA-approved paralegal certificate from Adelphi University.
