King & Spalding unveils new patent litigator hire
US firm King & Spalding has hired Chris Campbell as a partner, in a boost to its trial and disputes practice.
He will join the firm’s Washington D.C. office from California-based firm Cooley, where he also served as partner from 2009.
Campbell’s expertise focuses on litigating patent cases in the technology sector, including fields such as medical devices, software, hardware and life sciences.
In a press release issued yesterday, March 11, Kenny Steinthal, head of King & Spalding’s IP practice, said that Campbell’s “trial expertise not only adds depth to our IP trial practice, but enhances our ability to counsel clients in the firm’s targeted industry initiatives, including technology”.
Mark Jensen, managing partner of the D.C. office, said that “recent addition of IP and corporate talent to D.C. fits perfectly with Chris’s arrival and with the firm’s continued IP growth strategy”.
Campbell said King & Spalding was a “top-tier, go-to litigation firm, and its focus on technology, healthcare and energy made it an easy choice for me”.
