Unified Patents hires Finnegan and Amster counsels
Unified Patents, an organisation that claims to fight ‘patent trolls’, has added three senior patent counsels to its team.
Alyssa Holtslander and Jessica Marks, both join from Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garret & Dunner, where they litigated post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), district court cases, and International Trade Commission proceedings.
Holtslander previously represented clients in a wide range of mechanical and electrical technologies including network systems, electric motors, cellular devices, and defence system technologies.
Marks, who is also experienced in licensing negotiations and opinions on freedom-to-operate, has experience in cases including electrical, business method and biological technologies.
Jung Hahm, from Amster, Rothstein & Ebenstein, has also joined Unified Patent’s legal team. Hahm will prepare and litigate PTAB patent review proceedings for Unified Patents.
At Amster, he concentrated on PTAB trial practice, patent litigation, preparation and prosecution, and licensing.
