Barnes & Thornburg boosts Chicago office
Barnes & Thornburg has strengthened its Chicago office with the addition of an IP partner.
Joseph Paquin, who joins from McDermott Will & Emery, focuses his practice on patent litigation, counselling and protection, with an emphasis on representing Asian companies.
He represents clients in post-grant proceedings, including inter partes reviews and patent reexamination, and has experience in a range of industries such as electronics, telecoms and food products.
Mark Rust, managing partner of Barnes & Thornburg’s Chicago office, said: “Joe is a highly regarded patent litigator and veteran IP counsellor.”
He added: “His vast experience advising manufacturing and technology companies around the world will nicely complement our national IP practice, not to mention our fast-growing office in Chicago.”
