Barnes & Thornburg hires Dentons patent litigator
Barnes & Thornburg has strengthened its Dallas office with the addition of patent litigator Mark Nelson.
Nelson, who joins from Dentons, will serve as a partner in the firm’s IP department.
He has more than 20 years of patent litigation experience, both in federal courts and before the International Trade Commission.
Nelson’s work covers all areas of high-technology, including telecoms, gaming, medical devices and computer software and hardware. He also counsels clients on IP licensing and due diligence.
Mark Bayer, managing partner of Barnes & Thornburg’s Dallas office, said: “Adding someone with his reputation will help us grow the IP department in Dallas and will attract other practitioners that sync with our core practices, client base and firm culture.”
Nelson added: “The firm places incredible emphasis on putting clients first by providing first-class legal work at a fair and reasonable price. I’m excited to be part of the growth of the Dallas office.”
