Barnes & Thornburg hires three from McDermott
Barnes & Thornburg has strengthened its IP practice with the addition of three partners from McDermott Will & Emery.
Peter Siavelis and Matthew Gryzlo join as partners in the firm’s Chicago office, while Matthew Leno will work in the firm’s Washington, DC office.
Siavelis focuses his practice on patent and trademark litigation, counselling and portfolio development. He counsels and prosecutes patent applications in the mechanical and electrical arts, including applications related to sports and fitness equipment.
In the Chicago office, Gryzlo will advise clients on patents, trademarks, copyright, trade secrets and unfair competition. He focuses his practice in the areas of litigation, portfolio management and IP acquisition, while representing clients in areas including telecoms, medical devices and artificial intelligence.
Leno focuses on IP litigation, including patent, trademark and trade secret matters, portfolio management, patent prosecution and IP transactions. He represents clients in a variety of industries such as medical devices, internet and tracking systems.
