Kathryn-Ann Stamm’s practice spans the full spectrum of intellectual property and technology law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, digital assets, cybersecurity, and data governance. 

She has played a significant role in major global transactions involving complex IP and technology components. These include advising on Paramount Skydance’s $110 billion proposed acquisition of Warner Bros Discovery, one of the largest media transactions in history, which involves extensive global content rights, licensing arrangements, and technology assets. 

Stamm has also advised on major deals such as ADT’s acquisition of Origin Wireless, Johnson & Johnson’s acquisition of Halda Therapeutics, Disney’s Hulu + Live TV combination with Fubo, and ESPN’s acquisition of NFL Network assets. 

She works closely with senior leadership within the firm’s IP practice, including former US Patent and Trademark Office director David Kappos, contributing to high-level advisory work on global IP and technology matters for leading public and private companies.

Stamm is admitted to practice in New York and California, and also has admission to the Palau Bar, reflecting her unusual breadth of international legal qualification.

She has served as a judge for the International Trademark Association’s Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition and has participated in panels addressing trade secret protection in the digital age, venture capital and startup IP strategy, and the impact of AI on innovation and diligence processes.

She is also a member of the African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative, where she serves on the Board of Stewards and supports initiatives empowering women entrepreneurs.
