Event preview: A sneak peek at LES Annual Meeting 2021
Registration is now open for the Licensing Executive Society’s (LES) Annual Meeting 2021, a four-day virtual event for IP and licensing professionals.
The event kicks off on 27 September, with over 40 scheduled sessions, led by more than 100 speakers across all sectors covered by the organisation.
A broad array of industry movers will be taking the stage at the Annual Meeting, including professionals from Biogen, Columbia University, Deloitte GE, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, NASA-Johnson Space Center, and the NFL Players Association
“Whether you specialise in consumer products, high technology, or life sciences, there is a multitude of sessions to attend for all areas of interest,” the society claims.
“LES is not limited to sessions specifically in these niche areas. Sessions that will cover a broader spectrum of topics to discuss will be available. Conversations about diversity and inclusion in the invention ecosystem, federal funding in moving techs, and the digital divide are just a few that scratch the surface.”

Pre-show entertainment
Before the main event begins, registrants can tune in to several pre-conference webinars.
On 21 September, LES will host its women in licensing event, “Get Over Yourself: Managing Power and Politics in Organisations”. Here, presenters Inbal Demri-Shaham and Efrat Kasznik explore gender roles in the industry and the impact COVID-19 has had on the group.
On Thursday 23 September, LES will host a dial-in discussion covering the “Top Ten Court Decisions of the Year Affecting Licensing”. Host Russell Levine will investigate the impact of the decisions on the way professionals negotiate and assemble patent license agreements going forward.
