Groombridge, Wu, Baughman & Stone, led by Steven Baughman, represented patent owner Novo Nordisk in this patent matter concerning dosing regimes for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity. Sun Pharma filed a patent suit against Novo Nordisk’s filing of a patent covering the invention at the PTAB. The case was terminated on January 10, 2025.

A Groombridge Wu team represented Novo Nordisk in patent litigation related to its blockbuster weight-loss drugs Ozempic and Wegovy. In October 2024, Novo and Viatris’s Mylan Pharmaceuticals said in a joint filing at the PTAB that they had reached a settlement. Viatris had challenged Novo’s patents covering the drugs at the US Patent and Trademark Office.
