Firm overview:

DLA Piper’s Intellectual Property & Technology (IPT) group has significantly strengthened its Greater China footprint, serving clients out of Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. The China practice handles an extensive mix of contentious and non-contentious work, including enforcement, portfolio management, licensing, cross-border litigation, and transactional aspects of IP.

The team is especially active in helping Fortune 500 companies navigate the complexities of trademark protection, infringement, and enforcement across multiple Asian jurisdictions. DLA Piper is well known for advising on multi-jurisdictional matters (such as brand protection strategies across Asia), managing large global trademark portfolios, and supporting IP and technology transfer/licensing arrangements.
