Stubbs Alderton & Markiles hires TM head

California-based  Stubbs Alderton & Markiles has hired a partner to head up the firm’s trademark practice group.

Heather Antoine, who joins from her firm Antoine Law Group, will focus her practice on trademark clearance and selection, trademark prosecution and enforcement, and proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Scott Alderton, managing partner of the firm, said: “While we have many talented and experienced attorneys engaged in many aspects of our IP practice, having Heather leading our trademark efforts will substantially improve our firm’s position as a leader in IP.”

She is vice chair of the California Lawyers Association IP section and also has experience in issues relating to IP licensing, trade secret protection, copyright, rights of publicity, domain names disputes and general client counselling.

Antoine added: “Stubbs Alderton & Markiles has a phenomenal reputation in the legal community. Over the years, I have come to know the attorneys there and, more importantly, their impeccable work product.”
