Locke adds six

US Commerce Secretary Gary Locke has appointed six members to the patent and trademark advisory committees, the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) announced in January.

Louis Foreman, Esther Kepplinger and Wayne Sobon have been appointed to the Patent Public Advisory Committee.

Deborah Hampton, Anne Chasser and Maury Tepper, III, have been appointed to the Trademark Public Advisory Committee.

All members will serve three-year terms. The committees each have nine voting members and advise Locke on the management of patent and trademark operations.
