Dyan Finguerra-DuCharme

Dyan Finguerra-DuCharme is a leading IP practitioner in the US, particularly in the fashion, beauty, and luxury sectors, where brand value and enforcement strategies are increasingly central to commercial success.

She co-chairs the firm’s IP Group and is a member of the Fashion, Litigation and Media & Entertainment Groups, and has gained accolades for her work on complex intellectual property disputes and advisory matters across the beauty, fashion, luxury, and entertainment sectors.

She is particularly well known for her expertise in trademarks, trade dress, false advertising, and copyright litigation, and regularly represents leading global brands in high-stakes disputes in both federal and state courts. Her practice includes contentious and strategic IP matters for major international clients such as L’Oréal and Natura, among others.

In addition to her litigation practice, Finguerra-DuCharme advises clients on the development and protection of brand assets, with a particular focus on navigating evolving challenges in advertising, digital media, and cross-border enforcement. 

She has played a significant leadership role within the legal profession, having served for over a decade as co-chair of Pryor Cashman’s Women’s Leadership Initiative, supporting the advancement and professional development of women lawyers within the firm. She also previously served as chair of the Women in IP Committee at the New York City Bar Association for six years.
