Through her leadership within Adams & Adams, her international professional engagement, her contributions to legal education and her dedication to developing the next generation of IP practitioners, Daby has established herself as one of the most influential women shaping the intellectual property profession in South Africa and across the African continent.

She specialises in trademark portfolio management and the administration of complex trademark rights, including assignments, licences, security interests, proprietor amendments, renewals and due diligence investigations.

Beyond her legal practice, Daby plays a significant leadership role within the firm. She serves on the management committee of Adams & Adams and chairs the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Through these roles, she contributes to the strategic direction of the firm while helping to shape a more inclusive and representative legal profession.

Daby is a Fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law (SAIIPL), a member of the Legal Practice Council, the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group. 

She also serves on the global project team for INTA’s Women’s LeadershIP Initiative and is a member of the subcommittee responsible for the Women Leaders Series.
