Andrea Brewster is the founder of IP Inclusive, an organisation that promotes equity, inclusion and wellbeing across the UK’s intellectual property professions. She has led the organisation since its inception in 2015, working to embed inclusive practices within the IP community and to broaden awareness of IP-related career paths in order to widen participation in the profession.Brewster co-founded the IP practice Greaves Brewster in 2000, building a specialist practice in IP services before stepping back from private practice around a decade ago to focus on her work with IP Inclusive and wider professional initiatives.Brewster plays an active role in shaping inclusion efforts across the IP sector. She works closely with the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) and has been involved in initiatives that encourage senior leaders to commit to improving inclusion standards across the profession. IP Inclusive has also collaborated with the IP Federation to support the development of senior leadership pledges for in-house IP professionals.Alongside this, Brewster works closely with mental health charity LawCare to promote wellbeing, mental health awareness and supportive working cultures within the legal and IP professions. In early 2026, she contributed a thought leadership piece to WIPR exploring the charity’s Life in the Law Survey 2025 report, which sheds light on the mental health challenges faced by today’s legal professionals.Through her leadership of IP Inclusive and her wider advocacy work, Brewster has become a prominent figure in efforts to improve inclusion, wellbeing and cultural change in IP.
