Former ClarkeModet Peru CEO joins DLA Piper
Ana Teresa Barreto, the former CEO and general director at ClarkeModet Peru, has joined DLA Piper to head up the firm’s industrial and IP practice in Peru.
Barreto will also serve as of counsel at DLA Piper.
Ricardo Escobar, managing partner of DLA Piper Peru, said: “Ana Teresa is widely considered a talented IP practitioner, and her skills and experience will complement our existing capabilities and allow us to offer an ever more comprehensive range of services for our clients in Peru and throughout the region.”
With more than 20 years of experience, Barreto provides strategic advice on patents, trademarks, and copyright and practices litigation in IP-related matters.
She represents companies across sectors, including retail, pharma, food and beverage, and agro-industry.
Barreto returns to DLA Piper after five years of serving as CEO of ClarkeModet Peru. She previously served as a senior associate at DLA Piper Peru, becoming a partner in 2014, before leaving the firm a year later.
