  • Securing a patent grant for Palantir Technologies

Faegre Drinker is the law firm associated by the United States Patent and Trademark Office with the patent grant for Systems and Methods for Generating an Enhanced Error Message to Palantir Technologies in February 2026.

Based in Denver, Colorado, Palantir is well-known for developing data integration and analytics platforms enabling government agencies, militaries, and corporations to combine and analyse data from multiple sources.

The patent abstract describes: “Systems and methods for generating an enhanced error message are provided. An example method includes: receiving one or more raw error messages. The one or more raw error messages include one or more stack traces. The method further includes matching at least one raw error message of the one or more raw error messages to one or more error rules from a plurality of error rules.”

  • Strava v Garmin

Faegre Drinker’s Joel Sayres, along with of counsel from Keker, Van Nest & Peters, represented Strava in its lawsuit against Garmin, filed in September 2025.

Strava alleged that the wearable device maker had infringed its patented fitness software technology and breached an agreement dispute “clear limits”.

Shortly after the suit was filed, it was voluntarily dismissed.
