Team overview:

Notable members of the US patent team for non-contentious matters include Vas Vedantam, in Dallas, who provides strategic legal advice on procuring patents for a range of hardware and software technologies.

On the contentious side, New York partner James Blank focuses on patent litigation and has represented major companies including Nintendo, Enterprise Holdings, Bosch and TouchTunes.

Changes to the team over the past year include the departure of former co-lead of the Global Patent Practice Mackenzie Martin, now senior IP counsel at Schneider Electric.

The firm welcomed back experienced IP litigator Benjamin Kelly to its Dallas office, and added veteran trial lawyer Christa Anderson in Washington, DC; she joined from Cooley and has broad experience in litigating IP matters.

Tom Oslovar also joined the team in 2025 in Palo Alto, bringing a wealth of experience in technology transactions.
