Washington, DC partner Matthew Wolf has been lead trial counsel in some of the most significant patent cases involving life sciences, technology and consumer goods companies—including Amgen v Sanofi/Regeneron—and is renowned for his courtroom skills.

Partner Daniel DiNapoli, who is recognised as a WIPR Leader and based in New York, concentrates his practice in patent, trade secret, and unfair competition litigation and counselling. His notable representations include ANDA litigation involving Pfizer’s blockbuster drugs Viagra and Celebrex.

Additions to the team over the past year include patent litigators David Sheikh and Brian Haan, founding partners of Chicago IP firm Lee Sheikh & Haan which has now ceased operations.


Key matters:

  • Omnitracs v Motive

Arnold & Porter represented artificial intelligence (AI)-powered integrated operations platform Motive in a patent infringement lawsuit brought by Omnitracs in California.

A jury determined that Motive did not infringe any of Omnitracs’ four asserted patents, following an eight-day trial.
