Managing director of the trademarks group Joanne Lecky has over 20 years’ experience in IP, and assists clients with trademark clearance searches and protection as well as IP audits, licensing and dispute resolution.
Gareth Price advises clients on the creation and implementation of brand protection strategies and global brand portfolio management. He also handles a significant volume of contentious trademark and design matters, as well as IP-focused transactions.
Anne Bashir has advised clients ranging from SMEs to large corporations on all aspects of their IP, and has particular experience in representing clients in oppositions and applications for invalidity before the UK Intellectual Property Office.
Another key member of the team, Alison Wilson has experience across trademark clearance, applications, filing strategies and contentious registry office proceedings, as well as trademark infringement and counterfeit matters.

- Revolution Beauty: Trademark prosecution and strategy
Murgitroyd manages the global IP portfolio—including over 500 active trademark applications and registrations, as well as contentious matters—for Revolution. The beauty brand has rapidly grown since its inception in 2014, when Murgitroyd began working with it.
- Lidl: Contentious tribunal matter
The team acted for Lidl in a Company Names tribunal matter. The team was successful in defending against strike out application, the main proceedings, and defending against appeal to the High Court.
- V Group: Global portfolio management, filing and prosecution
Murgitroyd has recently won the management of the extensive trademark portfolio of V Group, an independent group provider of global marine support services. The team is set to embark on a major trademark filing programme in multiple jurisdictions.
