AWA acquires domain management company Dotkeeper
Sweden-based IP law firm AWA has announced that it has acquired domain name management company Dotkeeper.
Magnus Hallin, CEO of AWA, will become chairman of Dotkeeper. The rest of the domain company’s management team will remain the same.
The first step of the acquisition will take place now and the second will be completed in three to five years, AWA explained.
Dotkeeper, which has been in partnership with AWA since 2016, will remain a legal entity and standalone brand.
Hallin explained that Dotkeeper will be an “excellent addition” to the company’s portfolio.
“Together we will develop our digital services and our new digital client platform,” he said. “This will strengthen our client offer[ing] in many ways.”
Dotkeeper’s CEO, Hjalmar Antonsson, said that he is “very proud” of the acquisition.
He added: “Dotkeeper was started because we wanted to offer the best domain names services on the market, and thanks to an increased collaboration with AWA, we can take this a step further and deliver even more value in a broader way.”
