LexField Law Offices is a Beijing-based law firm focused on intellectual property, with a clientele representing a broad array of industries. As Jan Liu & Associates, the firm operated as a boutique IP firm specialising in trademarks, copyright issues, anti-unfair competition matters. In 2009 the IP litigation team merged with a patent team, and has since represented clients on a full spectrum of IP legal services, including patents services and IP litigation.

The IP Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group in combination with the patent group has successfully handled numerous patent litigations, including precedent-setting cases at every level of the Chinese court system, up to the Supreme Court of China. The patent group is experienced in working with the China National Intellectual Property Administration Office, on patent prosecution matters.

Team overview:

The litigation group is led by experienced Chinese IP litigation practitioners. Several of the firm’s litigators have both law and technology credentials. The patent group includes attorneys and patent agents with advanced academic degrees and experience across major technical fields.

Hall of Fame lawyer Hongyi Jiang is an attorney at law and is the senior partner of the firm. Jiang. Mr. Jiang worked with the Policy and Legislation Division of the State Science and Technology Commission from 1993 to 1996 where, he participated in several rounds of Sino-US intellectual property negotiations.  As a recognised patent litigator he achieved favourable results in four out of the ten cases in one year with over 20 million RMB awarded in damages.
