PTAB expert litigator joins Goodwin Law

Partner brings extensive Patent Trial and Appeal Board experience to the firm | Expertise in inter partes reviews in industries including data communications, semiconductor devices machine learning, and electronic commerce.

Goodwin Law has added Lori Gordon as a partner in its IP litigation practice in Washington, DC.

Gordon makes the move after almost three years as partner and co-chair of Perkins Coie’s post-grant practice. She was also previously a partner at King & Spalding, and director at Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox.

Gordons practice focuses on inter partes matters, including contested case proceedings in front of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), handling more than 260 trials before the board.

She participated in some of the first trials at the PTAB on its inception in 2012.

Gordon has represented clients across diverse industries, including data communications, semiconductor devices and fabrication, data security, machine learning, and electronic commerce.

Elaine Blais, co-chair of Goodwin’s IP litigation practice, emphasised the growing importance of the PTAB for IP litigation disputes
