Merchant & Gould hires IP litigator
IP law firm Merchant & Gould has strengthened its IP practice with the addition of James Beard as a partner.
Beard brings more than ten years of experience to the firm’s litigation practice group.
He has represented household names in the technology sector and Fortune 500 companies in computer hardware and software, electronics, consumer products, biotechnology, and medical device industries.
Greg Leibold, managing partner of Merchant & Gould’s Denver office, said that Beard was an excellent addition to the litigation practice group.
Leibold added: “He has experience in some of Colorado’s most innovative industries, spanning a range of technologies. We are excited to have him join us.”
Beard works on all stages of litigation, from general advice and pre-litigation counselling through to complex discovery, motion practice, trials, and appeals.
Prior to joining Merchant & Gould, Beard worked at Sherman & Howard in Denver, as well as Kirkland & Ellis in San Francisco.
