Withers & Rogers appoints five partners in UK and Munich
European IP firm Withers & Rogers has promoted four attorneys to partnership in its UK offices and hired one partner in its Munich office.
Diego Black, a patent attorney, was promoted to partner and will be based at the firm’s Leamington Spa office. Philip Horler, Justin Wilson and Greg Stepney, based in London, were also made partner.
Black and Horler work in the firm’s electronics, computing and physics group. Wilson and Stepney are patent attorneys in the firm’s life sciences and chemistry team.
In addition, Ernst-Ulrich Wittmann has been hired as a partner in the firm’s Munich office.
Withers & Rogers’ chairman Karl Barnfather said Wittman’s appointment will improve the firm’s services for UK and international clients seeking patent protection in Germany and across Europe.
Barnfather said: “The promotions to partnership reflect our firm’s continued growth and strong cross-industry demand for specialist IP advice and services, delivered by people with commercial understanding.”
