Winston & Strawn boosts IP practice with two partners

Winston & Strawn has announced the addition of two partners to its IP practice in Los Angeles and Silicon Valley.

Esha Bandyopadhyay, who has 20 years of IP expertise, will join the firm’s Silicon Valley office from Turner Boyd.

She focuses her practice on patent and trade secret disputes, and has litigated numerous copyright, trademark, internet, and false advertising matters.

Nimalka Wickramasekera will join the firm from Kirkland & Ellis and focuses on patent, trade secret, and commercial litigation.

Wickramasekera has experience in the telecoms, computer hardware, healthcare, medical device, and biotechnology industries.

Kathi Vidal, the firm’s Silicon Valley managing partner, said: “When I joined Winston, my goal was to expand and strengthen our West Coast team in a purposeful way to provide the best service to clients and the industry as a whole.

“I’m looking forward to teaming with Esha and Nimalka, both of whom are strong and successful women in IP and patent litigation, to achieve those objectives.”
