White & Case promotes IP lawyers to partner

White & Case has added two IP lawyers to the partnership in Europe, effective from January 1, 2019.

Clara Hainsdorf, based in Paris, advises clients on the IP implications of commercial contracts with a focus on online platforms and IT. She also assists clients with data protection and privacy issues, and has been involved in multi-jurisdictional matters relating to manufacturing contracts.

Meanwhile, Sylvia Lorenz will join the firm’s Berlin, Germany office, having previously been based in Hamburg.

Lorenz advises online platforms on IP, IT, and privacy laws, both domestically and in cross-border matters. Her practice also covers regulatory issues and consumer protection laws, as well as commercial contracts.

They join 39 other lawyers around the world who have been promoted to the firm’s partnership, according to White & Case’s press release.

Hugh Verrier, chairman of White & Case, said: “Becoming a partner is the result of many years of dedication and top quality work for our clients.”
