White & Case boosts team with Dorsey partner

White & Case has strengthened its Silicon Valley office with the addition of Jeremy Elman as a counsel.

Elman, who joins from Dorsey & Whitney where served as partner, is an IP trial lawyer with nearly two decades of experience representing Fortune 500 companies and startups. His clients have included Apple, Samsung, Sony, The Coca-Cola Company, Nike, and Hard Rock.

While Elman typically specialises in patent cases, he also regularly represents parties in trade secret, copyright and trademark cases, as well as in technology-related commercial litigation.

On a pro bono basis, Elman has defended Life Rolls On (a charity supporting disabled surfers) in a patent infringement case that was dismissed.

During law school, Elman worked for the American Red Cross to prevent exploitation by infringers of its trademarks after the 9/11 attacks.
