Taylor English adds IP partner in New York

New addition was previously a partner in the New York office of an AmLaw 50 law firm.

Taylor English Duma has announced that Lawrence Drucker has joined the firm’s IP litigation department as a partner to focus on patent, copyright, trademark, unfair competition, and other business disputes.

Drucker joins from New York-based firm, Liston Abramson.

“We are thrilled to welcome Larry to the firm,” said Marc Taylor, chair of Taylor English.

“With more than three decades of experience, he has an outstanding reputation and proven track record of success. Larry’s extensive trial experience will benefit existing and prospective intellectual property clients in New York and across the firm.”

Drucker represents clients in federal district courts throughout the US. He has tried cases on behalf of patent owners and those accused of infringement in some of the most active district courts across the nation, including in New York, Texas, Delaware, and Florida.

Before joining Taylor English, Drucker gained more than 30 years of experience in both IP and commercial litigation.

This experience included enforcing and defending patents for clients being investigated by the US International Trade Commission and has challenged and defended patents subject to inter partes and post-grant review before the US Patent and Trademark Office.

He has particular experience in the field of funded patent litigation, helping clients enforce their patents with the help of litigation finance.

Drucker’s clients span a wide variety of technologies, including automotive, semiconductor, LED lighting and displays, smartphones, medical devices, and cannabis vaping technology.

Other areas of expertise include electronic rating systems, consumer electronics, copy protection and anti-piracy technology, radio frequency identification systems, robotics, internet commerce, data transmission, optical systems and manufacturing processes for consumer goods.
