Sheppard Mullin promotes three IP lawyers to partnership
Three members of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton’s IP practice have been promoted as part of its 2019 partner class.
Hector Agdeppa, who is based in the firm’s San Diego office, specialises in patent preparation and prosecution in the electrical, mechanical and computer software areas. He also has experience in inter partes review proceedings and previously worked as a patent examiner at the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Joining him is Rachel Hudson, whose practice focuses on retail, food and beverage and technology sectors. Based in the firm’s San Francisco office, she counsels clients on compliance with e-mail, telephone, and marketing regulations. In addition, Hudson helps clients with drafting privacy policies and online terms of service for websites and mobile applications.
Finally, Siraj Husain from the Palo Alto office focuses his practice on patent strategy in various technical areas with an emphasis in software and computer science. He specialises in building and managing patent portfolios, both in the US and internationally and has represented clients in business transactions involving technology rights.
Sheppard Mullin chairman Guy Halgren welcomed the promotions. Halgren said: “This class spans practice groups and offices and they are all committed to upholding the institutional values of the firm: client service, entrepreneurialism and collegiality.”
