Jones Day appoints two in Chicago
Law firm Jones Day has appointed William Devitt and Matthew Hertko to its office in Chicago.
Both join from Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
Devitt’s focus is in the technology industry. He has worked with companies in the wireless communications and semiconductor sectors, representing them in patent assertion cases and licence negotiations. He joins as partner.
Hertko has served as trial counsel for companies in the semiconductor and consumer electronics industries. He joins the firm as of counsel.
“Bill and Matt are significant additions to our highly experienced IP team in Chicago,” said Tina Tabacchi, partner-in-charge of the firm’s Chicago office.
“They are IP trial lawyers with a strong technical background whose experience in the mid-west and nationwide will help us expand our ability to represent our clients on their most important IP matters,” she added.
