Hogan Lovells promotes pair to partnership
Hogan Lovells has promoted two lawyers from its IP, media and technology practice to the firm’s partnership.
Sarah Turner and Gary Serbin, both patent specialists, are based in London and New York, respectively.
Turner, who specialises in patent litigation and trade secrets, particularly in the areas of biotechnology, medical devices and pharmaceuticals, said:
“My appointment acknowledges the firm's commitment to our trade secrets practice in particular, an area of increasing importance across all types of industry.”
Serbin, whose practice covers wireless devices, computers, consumer electronics and medical devices, said he was honoured by his promotion:
“Hogan Lovells has made me feel that I am a part of something truly great, and I hope that my promotion will allow me to expand my practice and to help with the firm’s continued success.” (Gary Serbin, left)
Andreas von Falck, practice group leader for IPMT at Hogan Lovells added: “Both individuals have been at the firm for a long time, and in the case of Sarah, since she started her training. In Gary’s case, since we set up an IP practice in the legacy New York office at Lovells. Both promotions demonstrate our commitment to our home-grown talent and the strength of our associate base.”
