Eckert Seamans grabs Larry Rickles from Johnson

Larry Rickles has swapped Johnson & Johnson for Eckert Seamans, and will work in the company’s New York office.

He specialises in trademark, copyright, domain name and social media matters including clearance, prosecution, litigation, due diligence, licensing, training, counselling and portfolio management.

For the past 17 years, Rickles has served in various in-house roles at Johnson & Johnson. During that time, he managed the trademark portfolio for several of the company’s pharmaceutical, medical device and consumer product affiliate companies. Rickles was also responsible for developing and clearing pharmaceutical product names.

He said: “Eckert Seamans’ reputation, talented pool of attorneys, and depth and reach of its practice were among the many qualities that attracted me to the firm, and I look forward to utilising my legal background and in-house counsel experience to serve the firm’s clients locally, nationally and globally.”
