Aon expands IP solutions team in China
UK-based professional services firm Aon has expanded its IP solutions team in China.
Guangjie Hopton, who joins from Alibaba in Hong Kong, mainly focuses her work on mergers and acquisitions.
Aon said she will work closely with Aon’s Asia team to establish strategic partnerships in China and across the continent.
Hopton, has previously worked on transactions including the initial Yahoo investment in Yahoo, the structuring of Ant Financial and the initial public offering of Alibaba.com on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in 2007.
Lewis Lee, the CEO of Aon’s IP Solutions team, said Hopton’s expertise will be crucial as the firm builds its IP solutions globally. Its IP Solutions team offers services such as risk assessment, IP valuation and helping clients maximise the value of their IP portfolios.
“Altogether, Guangjie’s career means she brings knowledge not only on the corporate side such as IPOs and legal challenges but also a deep understanding of Asia and its unique opportunities,” Lee said.
