Paul Hastings has added former International Trade Commission (ITC) litigator, Kecia Reynolds, as partner to its IP practice in Washington, DC.
Reynolds joins the firm from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman where she has served as partner since 2014.
“I am excited to join Paul Hastings’ leading IP practice and look forward to growing my practice through collaboration with this impressive team of IP litigators,” said Reynolds.
“Paul Hastings’ strong upward trajectory, firm culture, and intentional focus on the future of IP litigation are just a few of the reasons that compelled me to join,” she added.
ITC experience
From 2007 to 2012, Reynolds served at the ITC as a senior investigative staff attorney for the office of unfair import investigations.
Yar Chaikovsky, global co-chair of Paul Hasting’s IP practice said: “[The firm] has established a leading IP practice representing innovative clients across various industries. Kecia’s arrival marks a significant addition to our strength and capabilities when it comes to protecting our clients’ innovative products and valuable IP in the ITC and other venues.”
Over the past 50 years, she has litigated more than 50 cases before the ITC, representing a wide array of technology clients in IP and unfair trade disputes.
Reynolds has represented clients in the mechanical devices, consumer electronics, medical devices, semiconductors and chemical materials sectors in litigation before the commission.
Bruce Wexler, global co-chair of Paul Hasting’s IP practice, added: “Kecia’s top-notch trial litigation skills and superb technical and procedural knowledge, as well as her expertise in international IP disputes, are hallmarks of her track record of success.
