Verena von Bomhard is one of Europe’s most respected trademark practitioners and a recognised leader in IP law. As the founding partner of Bomhard IP, she brings 30 years of experience advising global brand owners on complex trademark, design and unfair competition matters, and has built a reputation for excellence before the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the General Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU).
Throughout her career, von Bomhard has represented some of the world’s most prominent brands in high-profile and precedent-setting disputes. Among her notable matters, she has acted for LEGO in significant proceedings before the European courts. She represented Supermacs in the Supermac’s v McDonald’s dispute concerning McDonald’s ‘Big Mac’ trademark, which attracted international attention and helped shape discussions around genuine use and trademark enforcement within the European Union.
