One of Argentina’s most seasoned IP practitioners, Raquel Flanzbaum has more than 30 years of experience across trademarks, patents, and IP enforcement.
Flanzbaum is recognised for her expertise in trademark and patent matters, particularly cases involving likelihood of confusion, infringement, and interim measures. She has secured notable successes in both Argentina and across Latin America, but is equally respected for her efforts to promote understanding of Latin American IP issues internationally.
A frequent speaker and author, Flanzbaum has lectured extensively throughout Asia on Latin American IP law. A career milestone was becoming one of the first Latin American female practitioners to publish articles in the long-established Japanese publication Tokkyo News, helping to strengthen professional connections between Latin America and Asia.
Flanzbaum is active within several professional organisations, including the International Trademark Association, where she serves on the Latin America & Caribbean Subcommittee of the Legislation and Regulation Committee. She is also involved with the Argentine Association of Intellectual Property Agents’ Academic Activities Committee, participates in the Asian Patent Attorneys Association, and is a member of WIN (Women in IP Network).
