Pooja Khemani Sharma

At Infosys, Pooja Khemani Sharma leads a predominantly software and artificial intelligence (AI)-focused patent portfolio across the US, Europe, and India.

Sharma has over 20 years’ experience, including roles in IP services, patent analytics, entrepreneurship, and corporate IP leadership. She previously worked at Evalueserve and Lexadigm Solutions, co-founded Epiphany IP Solutions, and later held roles at Tata Consultancy Services focusing on IP, innovation, and business transformation.

Among her achievements are improving Infosys’ patent programme by creating better systems for sourcing inventions, managing patents, and ensuring patents support business strategy.

She has increased patent filings by 150% in the last two years by tightening governance, improving readiness of disclosures, and aligning filings to strategic priorities.

Sharma has also driven measurable inclusion outcomes, with 30% of patent applications including at least one female inventor, and has supported recognition of women inventors within her organisation.

Sharma is a frequent speaker on AI and IP issues, speaking at events hosted by trade associations including the National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom), The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), and those held by media brand LexWitness.

She is a member of the Nasscom IP Think Tank and serves as honorary advisor to the Intellectual Property Talent Search Examination (IPTSE), mentoring emerging IP professionals.
