Pawarisa ‘Fon’ Suwannachote is a partner at ZICO IP Thailand with over a decade of experience in intellectual property strategy across ASEAN and international markets. Her practice focuses on trademark prosecution, enforcement, anti-counterfeiting and cross-border intellectual property portfolio management.

She advises multinational corporations and regional businesses across industries including automotive, pharmaceuticals, financial services, technology, retail and consumer goods. She leads regional brand protection strategies across Southeast Asia, managing complex portfolios and multi-jurisdictional enforcement programmes.

Prior to joining ZICO IP, Fon built her career at boutique and international IP firms, where she was promoted to country manager for Thailand and Myanmar. She later joined ZICO IP as a senior associate and was promoted to partner in 2023.

Her recent work includes advising international clients on trademark conflicts in Thailand, including opposition proceedings, investigations, cease-and-desist actions and negotiated settlements to protect brand rights. She also supports clients in handling conflicting trademark applications through enforcement and administrative proceedings.

Fon is active in international intellectual property and trade discussions. She has been invited as a speaker by the International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD) in collaboration with UNCTAD, including delivering training for government officials on FTAs, IP regimes and implications for future trade negotiations.

She also contributes thought leadership on geographical indications, bad-faith trademark filings and digital enforcement through legal publications.She is recognised as a WIPR Leader. Fon is an active member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), where she serves on the Brands and Sustainability Committee (2026–2027). She previously served on the INTA Enforcement Committee (2024–2025), contributing to task forces focused on bad faith and non-use cancellations.

She is also involved in international knowledge-sharing initiatives and participates regularly in global IP conferences.

Beyond her practice, Fon mentors junior lawyers and students, provides pro bono IP advice to early-stage Thai startups, and supports initiatives promoting inclusion and the development of women in the IP profession.
