Pauline Monier leads worldwide strategies to combat online counterfeiting and infringing content, and to uphold platform integrity at Alibaba. Her work focuses on large-scale digital enforcement and cross-border anti-counterfeiting strategies, including coordination of online-to-offline investigations to dismantle counterfeit networks at source.

Monier began her career at Louis Vuitton, where she spent 12 years as manager for online brand protection, developing global enforcement strategies across marketplaces, social media, search engines, and technical intermediaries. She also led cross-brand enforcement for multiple LVMH Fashion Group houses, including Céline, Kenzo, Loewe, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, Emilio Pucci, and Berluti. She later joined Vinted as senior IP legal counsel before moving to Alibaba International. 

She holds multiple advanced legal and academic qualifications, including in law (Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne), Chinese studies (INALCO), Chinese law (SOAS), and international business law & management (ESSEC Business School), combining IP expertise with deep China knowledge.

Monier is an active speaker at international IP conferences and regularly advises rights holders on platform enforcement and China-related IP challenges. She is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).

She is recognised for her collaborative enforcement approach, working closely with rights holders, government agencies, and law enforcement authorities to address global IP crime and strengthen cross-sector cooperation.
