With nearly three decades of experience handling some of the most significant trade secret, patent and IP disputes across multiple industries, Amy Candido has built a reputation for securing landmark victories.

Her career has seen an exceptional track record of courtroom success, including a complete defence verdict in a trade secret case seeking more than $450 million, multiple defence jury verdicts for Google in patent disputes with more than $1 billion at stake, a $238 million jury verdict for Viasat over satellite technology, and victories in major international technology disputes. 

Notably, she secured a highly favourable settlement for Waymo in its landmark autonomous vehicle trade secrets litigation against Uber, one of the most prominent trade secret disputes of the modern technology era. 

Candido is helping to shape the development of trade secret law through her leadership within The Sedona Conference’s Trade Secrets Working Group. 

She has contributed to the drafting of influential guidance on trade secret remedies and co-led the development of comprehensive model jury instructions under the Defend Trade Secrets Act. 

As a frequent speaker and author on emerging issues, including the growing importance of trade secrets in the era of generative artificial intelligence, she is recognised as a leading voice in the evolution of IP law.
