FisherBroyles hires three partners
US law firm FisherBroyles has hired three partners to its IP practice.
The partners, Richard Eckman, Thomas Osborne and Jeremy Sanders will join the firm’s California, Denver and Seattle offices.
T J DoVale, FisherBroyles IP group managing partner, said the trio bring an “enhanced calibre and scope of IP services” to the firm.
Osborne’s practice includes portfolio management, patent prosecution and due diligence related to acquisitions. He also advises clients on the risks related to the introduction of new products.
Osborne, who was previously a partner at Dinsmore & Shohl in Ohio, said: “It’s very rewarding to work alongside my FisherBroyles colleagues who possess very rich and diverse experiences across the entire spectrum of IP practice.”
Eckman is experienced in worldwide patent estate procurement, diligence investigation and IP life cycle management. He has also worked with clients on patenting and protecting medicines and treatments, inventions in genomic sciences and CRISPR methodologies.
“I’m very happy to continue to provide the high level of service that my clients expect, plus deliver the added value that the FisherBroyles distributed partnership model provides,” said Eckman.
Prior to joining FisherBroyles, Eckman was a partner at Eckman Basu in California.
Sanders, who joins from TerraPower, focuses on helping clients create patent strategies that complement their business interests, including patent drafting and prosecution before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Sanders said he looked forward to drawing from his engineering background and in-house experiences “to help FisherBroyles clients maximise the protection and value of their IP assets”.
