Reaching out

All individuals, regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation, or religion, should have equal rights.

This perspective aims to create an environment of social justice, ensuring equal opportunities for everyone. Embracing diversity starts with the unyielding conviction that human dignity is inviolable. We must continuously acknowledge that, despite our myriad differences, our shared humanity unites us.

Over the years, our law firm has had positive experiences working with anti-discrimination organisations and participating in events such as Pride.

We also encourage our employees to volunteer in these areas, furthering our commitment to inclusivity. A cornerstone of inclusivity is the ability to listen actively. By understanding each person’s unique needs—whether related to disabilities, preferred pronouns, or other factors—we can create a more inclusive environment. We encourage all businesses to inform employment agencies of their willingness to hire older individuals or those with disabilities.

Best practice steps

Support a transgender artist

In order to not just speak about supporting diversity, we took action and signed The Diversity Charter. We proactively supported the transgender singer George Philippart by sponsoring parts of his newest album production, assisting with the launch of his album, sending his CD as a Christmas gift to our clients, filing his name as a trademark pro bono and launching a song project with a local school where he was hired as a singer and project manager. We continue mentoring and supporting him on a very regular basis.

Support local school children with a migration background

We launched and sponsored the 112-song (Wir Wählen 112) project supporting the integration of children with migration background.

Close to our office is the Hostatoschool which has school children with immigration and migration backgrounds from 50 countries. We organised a song contest, in which more than 60 children participated, and 21 were selected to be part of the project.
