IP consultancy firm Rouse has announced the opening of a new office in Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh.
The new office will be led by current Hong Kong and Vietnam country manager Chris Vale, who will be supported by Sokunvannary Tep, a Cambodian trademark attorney and qualified US lawyer who specialises in all forms of IP.
Rouse, which also has offices covering the wider ASEAN region, said in a statement that the Cambodia office will allow it to offer services to large US and European firms operating in the area.
A team of five will begin in Phnom Penh, and Tep expects to help the Cambodia office grow significantly in the coming months.
“The ASEAN region represents a huge growth opportunity for us and our clients. Cambodia is one of the fastest growing economies in Asia and we know the demand for our services in the country is high,” said Luke Minford, CEO of Rouse.
He added: “These are also complex and challenging jurisdictions, which is why we focus on ensuring our clients get the right mix of local and international expertise.”
